Club Manager – Porsche Club of New Zealand, Rosedale/Albany

Porsche Club of New Zealand (PCNZ) is seeking a capable and self-motivated Club Manager to join the organisation in a part-time, permanent capacity. This is a brand-new role, created in response to the continued growth of the Club, and represents an exciting opportunity for the right person to make the position their own.

PCNZ is a thriving membership-based organisation with a strong and engaged community of members across New Zealand. The Club has historically been administered by volunteers and supported by a part-time Administrator. As membership and event activity have grown, the Club has made the decision to consolidate a range of operational, financial, and administrative responsibilities into a single Club Manager position.

This is a guaranteed 25 hours per week, with up to 30 hours in some weeks during busier event periods. The role is based on site. Initial induction will take place in Rosedale, with the role then operating from new premises being procured in either Rosedale or Albany.

The ideal person for this role is someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work and is genuinely comfortable working in sole charge. The key accountabilities for this role are focused on:

  • Maintaining the Club’s accounting records (currently in QuickBooks), processing receipts and payments, reconciling bank accounts and preparing and filing monthly GST returns.
  • Supporting year-end accounting processes, including liaison with the Treasurer, Accountant and Auditor.
  • Managing membership records, processing renewals and new memberships, and producing monthly membership reports.
  • Administering the Club website, including the events calendar, registration forms, and photo galleries.
  • Monitoring the Club’s closed social media pages to ensure appropriate use and membership integrity.
  • Coordinating event registrations, maintaining event information, and following up on outstanding payments.
  • Supporting the production of the Club’s magazine, the Spiel, including database extracts and mailouts.
  • Preparing monthly reports to the Committee covering membership and activities.

In addition, the successful candidate will be confident in setting up new systems and processes, as this role brings together responsibilities that have previously sat across volunteers, the Treasurer, and the part-time Administrator. There is real scope for the right person to shape how the work is done and to grow with the position over time.

Are you the person that we are looking for? In addition to undertaking the above, you will have a strong background in bookkeeping or accounting administration, with hands-on experience in QuickBooks (or a similar accounting system) and a sound understanding of GST. You will be highly organised, a confident communicator and comfortable juggling competing priorities across finance, membership, events, and digital channels. You will also need transport to be able to check the post office box (mileage payable).

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Experience working in a sole-charge or small office environment, with the initiative to manage your own workload and set your own priorities.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems and social media platforms.
  • Experience supporting committees, boards, or volunteer governance structures.
  • An interest in, or appreciation of, cars, motorsport, or membership-based clubs.

We are looking for someone to join the Club whose values match its culture. You will be a self-starter, a great communicator and someone who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. You will enjoy being the operational anchor of an organisation that is genuinely member-driven, and you will bring the initiative and attention to detail that a sole-charge role of this nature requires.

In return, you will be offered a varied and rewarding role with real scope to shape the position, working alongside a supportive and engaged Committee in an organisation that is proud of its community and its growth.
